In order to ensure that BE-Rural outputs link closely to ongoing policy debates, a policy workshop, targeting relevant EU institutions and EU-level sector associations, will be organised in Brussels to discuss existing policy gaps and potential measures to address them.

A mid-term conference in one of the regions and a final dissemination conference at the end of the project in Brussels will serve to communicate the results, spread the knowledge of the potential the European regions have and what has been reached in the three years.

08/09/20 – BE-Rural Mid-term Conference: “Exploring the bioeconomy as a central pillar of regional recovery plans during and after COVID-19”

Please find here the background reader and the proceedings of the event, including agenda, summary, speaker presentations, and participant list.

18/11/20 – Global Bioeconomy Summit 2020: BE-Rural/POWER4BIO Joint Breakout Session on ‘Bioeconomy at the local level’

This breakout session was part of the ‘Rebooting the economy – sustainability, growth, and climate action delivered by the bioeconomy’ workshop held by the European Commission. Please find here the summary notes, as well as the recordings of both the main workshop and breakout session, and the results of the live polling organised during the breakout session.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020
research and innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No 818478.
